These are the places I’ve visited (real or virtual) around the world so far in 2015.
December 12th – Community Centre, Merrickville, ON
It was a good day on the sales front for me starting before the official opening time of the show when I sold 1 copy of A Shadow in the Past. Before the day was finished, I added sales of 1 copy of The Consequences Collection, and 4 copies of Tim’s Magic Christmas.
December 5th – Lanark Civitan Club, Lanark, ON
Busy place at the Civitan Club in Lanark today. Not a lot of people buying but it’s still fun to get out and meet new people. I had asked for a place either along a wall or someplace where I could set up the easel and it not be in the way. I didn’t get a wall spot but I had plenty of room for the easel.
November 28th – Royal Canadian Legion, Mallorytown, ON
It was a slow day sales-wise (two other shows going on in the village at different venues), but it was fun to connect with vendors and customers I’ve not seen since the last time I was here.
November 21st – Bath Public School, Bath, ON
It was a great day here at the public school! When I received the map and vendor list so we could see where we’d be set up, there were tables for over 70 vendors! Every nook and cranny in the school had something happening in it.
The show ended at 3:00 pm and we weren’t to start packing up prior to that. Wasn’t a problem for me, I still had customers at my table at that time, including one young customer asking lots of questions about writing books and publishing. He bought a copy of Tim’s Magic Christmas.
At the end of the day I sold 7 copies of A Shadow in the Past and 7 copies of Tim’s Magic Christmas!
November 7th – Royal Canadian Legion, Chesterville, ON
October 25th – McDonalds Corners Agricultural Hall, McDonalds Corners, ON
October 24th – Matilda Hall, Brinston, ON
October 4th – Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, near Morrisburg, ON
August 15th – English Car Boot Sale at the Spencerville Mill, Spencerville, ON
July 25th – Christmas in July at the Prescott Farmers’ & Crafters’ Market, Prescott, ON. Tim’s Magic Christmas made its “official” debut at this event.
June 28th – I took part in Magic Spells presented by the Friends of the Prescott Library. Because of the inclement weather, the event was held indoors at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Despite Mother Nature frowning on us, there was an excellent turnout.
Here I am in action reading from A Shadow in the Past.
During the intermission and afterwards, the authors in attendance had the opportunity to sell and sign their books. I only took A Shadow in the Past with me to this event because it was the one I read from but I could have also brought The Consequences Collection. While I didn’t sell as many as I’d hoped, I did sell 1 copy and possibly will have a couple of kindle/kobo sales.
I’m looking forward to taking part in this event again next year. (Fingers crossed that they hold it).
May 16th (10:00-3:00) – I attended the Spring Craft Show, McDonald’s Corners Agricultural Hall, 194 Camerons Road, McDonald’s Corners, Ontario.
May 9th, (2:00 p.m.) – I took part in The Friends of the Brockville Public Library’s Bookmarks program. My books are available for sale at the library throughout the month of May and a portion of the sales are donated to the friends group.
May 2nd (10:00-4:00) – I was at The Friendly Circle Showcase, Long Sault, Ontario. I met loads of fabulous people and they’re looking forward to having me back again next year.
