Places I’ve visited – 2014

These are the places I’ve visited (real or virtual) around the world so far in 2014.

Saturday, December 13th – I was at the 1000 Islands Mall, 2399 Parkedale Avenue, Brockville taking part in the Friends of the Brockville Public Library’s second merrybookmas.

appearancesWhile there, some of the local media dropped by and took photographs.

places I've been

places I've beenThis wasn’t one of my better days on the sales front. I only sold 1  2015 A Shadow in the Past wall calendar, although I might have a kobo version of A Shadow in the Past sold and one of the other vendors talked to me after we’d shut down for the day about buying a paperback version later this week.

Saturday, November 29th – I was in Merrickville, ON at the Merrickville Craft and Concession show.

I had a very successful day here and met lots of interesting people. Now for the numbers… drum roll, please. I sold 5 copies of A Shadow in the Past, 1 companion calendar, and 2 copies of The Consequences Collection (both to men).

Friday, November 14th –  I was at Ladies’ Night at Green Things Garden and Gifts, 1892 Highway 2 East, Brockville, ON K6V 5T1. I’ve taken part in this event in the past two years and had a good time each year.

appearancesI sold 1 copy of The Consequences Collection, and 2 copies of A Shadow in the Past. This was the first event I’ve done since getting my Square credit card reader and I even christened it later on in the evening. A few of the folks who came in had purchased A Shadow in the Past in my previous years attending Ladies Night. They all had positive feedback about my book. One lady told me she absolutely loved it and when she finished reading it, packaged it up and sent it to her niece in BC and she loved it as well.

Saturday, November 1st – I was at the Chesterville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion from 9:00 until 2:00. It was another successful day. I sold 7 copies of A Shadow in the Past and folks were pleased that it was also available in ebook format.

  5. Busy for sure, Dorothy. I’m glad people are still interested in reading, whether it be e-book or print. One young lady let me go through my entire pitch about my books, then politely thanked me and said “I don’t read.” Suffice it to say, I was gobsmacked.
