Egads! What have I gotten myself in to? With the heavy month I have beginning this coming Saturday through to December, in addition to holding down a full-time job, I took the plunge and signed up for NaNoWriMo. I must be crazy… Wait, I know I’m crazy. I hear voices in my head. But I would be more worried if the voices quit talking to me. Those voices belong to the characters in my debut novel and they’re all fighting for their turn in the spotlight.
Anyway, my plan is to work on the sequel to A Shadow in the Past. Fingers crossed that all goes well. And even if it doesn’t, at least I tried. This is my first kick at the can at NaNoWriMo so we’ll see just how disciplined I am.
Egads, indeed! Good luck, Melanie! I’m with you all the way. While I’m not officially joining in the NaNo challenge, I hope to boost my WIP by at least 30K, 50K if I can. Like you, I have a ton of other commitments going on, not least two authorly conference-type events and impending publisher edits for book 2, but if you’re game, I’m game and we can go quietly mad together.

Glad you popped by, Janice. Could be worse kind of nuts! At least this is only NaNo. Must admit I preferred taking part in Write Here Right Now put on by BBC Scotland in February. But they changed the rules and only residents can take part… Waaaah…
